What Are The Different Types of Probiotics

With people taking up a more healthy lifestyle there are several nutrients in the market today and a lot more companies that manufacture it. There are also various brands of probiotics but not all of them can be trusted. You need to be careful while buying probiotics from a store as these supplements go into your blood. Putting in the wrong probiotics in your body can cause various other side-effects. There are majorly two strains of probiotics in the market lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. These are the two large umbrellas under which the other probiotics fall.

Sanzyme biologics are the best probiotics manufacturers in India and they were the first ones to start up the probiotics sector in the country along with the Japanese company Uni Sankyo. They produce a variety of strains and all of them are manufactured with great care and ethics. Apart from human strains they also manufacture animal health products and these play a similar part in animals as they play in humans.

Let us now see the different strains they manufacture:

  1. Bacillus Subtilis: these are a rod-shaped, gram-positive bacterium found in the soil and in the gastrointestinal tract of the humans. It is considered the most useful form of probiotic and it forms a protective endospore to stay alive almost indefinitely.
  2. Bacillus Clausii: these are again strong strains of probiotics wherein they survive the gastrointestinal acids and have a long shelf life. These medicines/ supplements are then effective after its consumption since they are still active.
  3. Bacillus Coagulans: it is a unique space spore-forming probiotic strains. It is a stable and reliable probiotic that can be used in the food and other supplements. Bacillus Coagulans medicines come in the form of powders, sachets, candy, and tablets.
  4. Saccharomyces Boulardii: is the fourth type of human strain Sanzyme produces. It is non-pathogenic yeast considered as a probiotic that helps in intestinal comfort. It also contributes towards maintaining intestinal flora.

Finally, there are several of such strains and more and more coming each day. There is yet a lot of research to be done with probiotic side-effects and more. They help a lot with intestinal problems and indigestion.
